I would choose to be Professor Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter series. There are a multiple of reasons why I chose this specific teacher out of every single fictional character in the universe.
1. Magic is the shiz. There's no point in being a fictional character if I don't get to do anything new. Magic lets you disappear, change stuff, explode stuff, and pretty much do everything normal humans can't. Also, magic is most developed in the Harry Potter universe, so a character from there is a prime choice.
2. McGonagall is extremely powerful. She is powerful enough to hold her own in dueling against Professory Snape, but without the drawback of having to die for hidden love. Sure it's a noble way to bite the dust, but I'm not a fan of playing triple agent.
3. McGonagall is a teacher. Head of Gryffindor. I can use magic to do whatever I want. Cuz I'm the boss. Also sometimes I think it would be fun to have the power of teacher. And at Hogwarts, they don't really have regular tests and papers to grade
4. I would be an Animagus. Sprinkles on the cupcake.
