National Debt
Coming from my little knowledge or thought devoted to what to do about the massive debt I have but a few key ideas. The first point that I would make about being able to fix the national debt is that something must be done. It does the country no good if debt bills are being constantly shot down in the House and Congress due to political affiliations. Because this is a very hard thing to overcome I believe that before a bill that addresses the countries massive amount of debt the bill must be drawn up and bring in ideas from both major political parties otherwise the bill won't even have a chance in either area of government. Another way that in my opinion would help this country with its debt is if we didn't have so many countries that we relied on for trade amongst other things. Having to give massive amounts of money to places outside of this great country for no obvious reason other than convenience is ridiculous. This initiative wouldn't be started with the law makers and people in power, but rather would start with the consumer themselves. By choosing to only purchase goods that are made right here in America rather than choosing the cheaper product that is shipped in overseas it will force lawmakers to make the choice to switch over and start further support of American run industries that produce an All-American product. I know this is much easier just said then it is actually carried out and done, but it took us many years to get ourselves into this mess as a nation and there isn't an easy and instant way to get us out of this mess either. So rather than searching for that one immediate fix to this situation we need to be looking for a plan that will be in for the long run and one that overtime will begin to help this nation out in a way that it desperately needs.
