How to Fix Debt (Late Pass)

When I first saw this prompt I thought to myself, "Hannah, you do not know how to fix debt."  Because I myself have the worst finance system ever (my system = if I like it I buy it), I figured that I was not qualified in the least to propose a system that would fix the debt of the whole nation.  Logically, my next move was to ask someone who is experienced in this matter, so I asked my father.  He is a finance man and likes to give me speeches about how I'm not going to be able to support myself if I spend all my money on Chick-fil-a and One Direction paraphernalia.  I texted him for a quick one or two sentence response, but instead I got a tirade that I'll probably only read the first line of.  By now I'm sure you have realized that this is not about debt, so I should probably add some real information in now...I just read that whole message and all I got was to not spend more than you receive.  I hope that counts.
