Star Wars vs. Star Trek

In the debate between star wars in star trek, i find it hard to believe that one would think star trek is the better of the two. I do understand that there are hundreds of star trek television shows, and even a few movies, but it still doesn't stand up to the excitement of star wars. The ideas and concepts in star wars are much better, and the story is much better developed. Maybe i'm just biased because i don't watch that much star trek. In fact, I believe I saw star wars before ever sitting down and watching some star trek episodes, so at that point it felt to me like a lot of the ideas in star trek were copying those of star wars. The two certainly aren't the same though, and i find the idea of the prophecy story in star wars much more concentrated and developed, and overall better.
