About four months ago, my close friend Aqeel (pronounced Ah-keel) got me to watch the popular TV Show, How I Met Your Mother. Originally, I wasn't that impressed with the show, but as I continued watching into the more recent seasons, I slowly fell in love with it's slapstick humor and memorable quotes. The show's main character, Ted Mosby, is a young architect in search of finding "the one" and show basically chronicles this journey of his. The reason I wish to be Ted, however, is because of his personality. Although at times, he can be flustered by unforgiving situations, Ted usually has a fairly methodical way of approaching things. In addition, he is extremely loyal to his closest friends and recognizes that his success in life is primarily fueled by their constant support. His character is just so human, you cannot help but appreciate him. He is not the perfect friend, boyfriend, or employee and instead his qualities are balanced by the presence of his flaws. Granted, Ted is a hopeless romantic, but he has an uncanny ability to almost immediately learn from his mistakes when dating. In the words of Barney Stinson, Ted is "Legend...wait for it...dary".
