Good or evil?

I think that there is definitely some discrepancy between what some people think is good and what some people think is evil. Some do bad things but with good intentions. There are always going to be those people who are seen as “good” and “evil” when there is really only a middle ground. Even those people who are seen as the worst people have been teaching us how to become better people, even if they are just telling us what not to do. The most courageous people, those who help so many people everyday, still are selfish. Even though that is a bad quality, people seem to forget about all of the selfish motives that they have just because of the good they seem to be doing. I’m going to add in this, just because it seems to fit: “There is no good or evil: only power and those too weak to seek it."(Rowling). The quote does have a point to it. There is no real distinction between good and evil in our society today. But what is good? What is evil? Everyone has a different definition, but power has absolutely nothing to do with it. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that there is only a gray area, and no matter what we do, there is no easy way of getting out of it.
