Ok, so it's not really the Christmas yet.... but it's definitely one of my favorite times of year. It is during this season that I probably listen to music the most. I absolutely love Christmas music, which is why I have chosen to create my perfect playlist for Christmas.
We Need a Little Christmas - Glee Cast This song just makes me feel good. It is basically all of my excitement for Christmas bottled up in one song, not to mention it was performed by some of my favorite actors and actresses in the history of forever.
Last Christmas - Taylor Swift I tend to like songs that tell a story, which this one does. I think that may be why I like it so much. Also, it has a different tone than most other Christmas songs, which I like. She seems kind of angry and I think it's cool.
Snow Miser - Dick Shawn and Heat Miser - George S. Irving These two songs throw me back into my childhood. They are both from what once was my favorite Christmas movie, "The Year Without a Santa Clause." They songs are sung by brothers in the movie who are constantly fighting about what to do with the weather. It didn't seem fair to pick just one song, so I had to include both.
The Island of Misfit Toys - Johnny Marks This is from another one of my favorite Christmas movies: "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Some of my favorite characters in the from the movie live there, they things that make them "misfits" I think make them cuter.
Christmas Shoes - Bob Carlisle This one tugs at my heart strings. It is about a boy who wants to buy shoes for his mom who is sick so she can have them "if she meets Jesus tonight", but he doesn't have enough money so the man behind him in line pays for them. It helps me remember what Christmas is really about and is overall a very cute and touching song.
So there you have it, some of my favorite Christmas songs. Hope you enjoy!!
