1.One person who inspires you?
2.Most pivotal moment in world history?
3.Favorite Comedian?

Number 3
My favorite comedian is the late George Carlin. Carlin died in 2008 at age 71. He was not only a funny person, but he was one of the great social commentators in recent memory. His profanity-laced routines identified the random eccentrics of humans, as well as dealing with important social issues. One of his most popular routines was his stance on the environment.

In this take on environmentalism, Carlin scoffs at the pretentionous human notion that we can "save the planet". He points out that anything we do to the Earth is insignifigant to what has happened to the planet before us. The planet has been through so many different didasters, including several large asteroids and multiple Ice Ages. These events are much more harmful than some plastic bags. The point he makes is that, while the planet will be fine, we're the ones that need saving. "the planet will shake us off like a bad case of the fleas"
