I believe that war is often unneccesary, and we could more effectively communicate our issues out many times. Now, if another country has disbatched to slaughter the whole country, I say "let the games begin." The only time war can be justified is in self defense. It can be explained using a metaphor from Henry Clay. Our school's policy says you may not fight. Therefore, if a student starts beating you up, that student is going to have to answer to higher authorities. However, are you honestly going to sit there and let a guy hit you? Self defense is only human nature. But at Henry Clay, it still considers you part of the fight. I know people who have been suspended because they fought back. It is the same thing in war. If a country is attacking us, we cannot afford to just let them take us over. But yet, fighting back also leads to unpleasant consequences. Overal though, the well-being of your country more important, so self-defense is the option the country has responsibility to choose.
