On October 3rd, 1995, O.J. Simpson was found not guilty for the murder of his wife and friend. It was made clear that Simpson had murdered his ex-wife and her friend after finding clear evidence at the murder scene that he was the murderer. And if that wasn't enough, he attempted to flee the cops on the highway holding his friend hostage in the car. Simpson was still found not guilty in the case after a mistake in the DNA testing, and the decision to have Simpson try the glove on after it had been frozen and unfrozen multiple times(thus creating to to change size). After he had been found not guilty, he chose not to just drop it at that, but he wrote a book titled If I Did It, explaining how he murdered his ex-wife and got away with it.
This series of events was a horrible time for America. It exploited the weak justice system and exhibited how a man can clearly murder people and get away with it. People all across the country were in disgust of the terrible decision made by the court. The question, "Do you appreciate this event or do you loathe it?" is completely useless to ask, based on the fact that anybody who could appreciate this event doesn't deserve an opinion. The only person who could possibly appreciate this decision was the man who should've earned the death penalty. No one should ever be able to get away with murder, and that's why I, along with everyone else loathes this event.
