Satire

As a young adult getting ready to go off to college, I feel it is extremely helpful for myself and my peers if the adults in our lives talk down to us and treat us as if we are still in elementary school. Though we will be on our own in as little as a two years, we need to have everything dumbed down for us to understand. Being talked down to by the adults in our lives helps us develop phenomenal communication skills for when we get thrown into the real world and have to interview for jobs and various things. It is not to our benefit at all to let us take on small responsibilities as to ease us into being completely responsible for ourselves. It is much better to let the adults take care of everything for us. So let's make sure we make everything black and white and easy to understand for the young adults in our lives. I promise, it's really helpful to all of us.
