War

There is a time and place for everything, and war is no exception. Evil and sin are deeply rooted in this world, and when the time comes we have to fight it. Throughout history wars have been fought for many different reasons. Some for expansion, some for revenge, some for one mans ambitions, and some for no reason at all. I believe that when war can be avoided, or when its done to feed a man or a nation greed and ambition, it is morally wrong and injust. However, if your nation is under attack, and innocent people are dying in your streets, it is your obligation as a country to defend your people and your nation. It is the whole idea of self defense that is taught in karate. You have all these moves, weapons, and techniques, but that doesn't mean you go around and use them to rob people and get more money. It is something you have just in case you need to call upon it, and use it to defend yourself. However, you would not attack someone just for looking at you funny, or for no good reasons. There are alternatives to fighting, and as cliché as it sounds, it is always better to talk your problems out and come up with a peaceful solution.
