War

I find it hard to decided on my own view about war. I am not a pacifist, if someone were to attack me I am going to fight back. Therefore I can see why we have made the decision to enter wars, but a war involves so many people. Along with a war comes a lot of tragedy. Sure you hear about the soldiers who have lost their lives, but where they are battling families also live. Many innocent people die as a result of war, or they lose loved ones. How can someone say that this act is ok? So many people are negatively affected by wars, why would we want to purposefully cause that pain and suffering? It goes along with the say an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. But it would be really hard for me to just take an attack such as that of Peal Harbor and not want to react to it. Or to see acts such as the Holocaust happening and not step in. Therefore I guess I would have to say that I think that there is a time for war no matter how devastating of a thing it is.
